The thing starts fine and runs fine until you run it at full speed and then it runs like it is bouncing off a rev limiter. Anybody have any thoughts?

This may be a stupid response but how long is the string? If it is too long and can wrap around, it will not run like crap at WOT.

I have a FS 46 and had to replace the carb last year. Did you try adjusting the two carb screws on the back while at WOT?

high speed enrichment screw would be the first thing I looked at but if you could post a video with sound it sure would help narrow it down . Mark
