eastern Tn riding, went down to see an old friend and some kin. one of the pics is a dead give away as to the location. the other just a stop in the smokys. think I am heading back down july 2-4 if you are going to be in the area, and like to do some riding let me know. or if you just now decided you like to slay the dragon, I am in the area those dates if mother nature allows it.

Took the hillbilly highway (25) from corbin Ky to bean station Tn. then on down to 81/40 over to the gatlingburg taking 446 south and making a few stops for some views/pics in the park. over to cherokee Nc, heading east on 441 to 28. getting 143  east to 129 (several miles south of deals gap). enjoying 129 up , to a stop at the look out. tally on weekend was 1244 miles , 27+ gallons of fuel. 45 mpg boys on a dresser running 70+mph for 600+ miles is not bad.

sunday and monday riding was super, sunny and hot. sat had less sun, but was better riding temps. no complaints here. just glad to get down there this year. had a stop at Veterans Overlook on Monday leaving Bean Station. nice view of Cherokee Lake.

Cherokee Lake, the Tn/Nc state line draws in the crowds. I did not stop at clingmans dome, too crowded.  had I not been there before, I would have. views from there are nice, really nice.
